Acceptable Use & Safety Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This Acceptable Use & Safety Policy ("AUP") describes content and conduct that are prohibited on SilkRoom (the "Service"). It is part of our Terms of Service. We may update it as needed to keep the community and platform safe.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
SilkRoom has an absolute, zero-tolerance policy toward any content that sexualizes minors. This is the most important rule on the platform. You may not, under any circumstances:
- create, request, generate, upload, or share any sexual or suggestive content depicting a minor, or anyone who appears to be a minor, whether real, fictional, or AI-generated;
- attempt to make any character appear to be, be described as, or role-play as under 18;
- use the Service to groom, solicit, or endanger a minor in any way.
Every character on SilkRoom is and must remain an adult (18+). We use safeguards to prevent child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and we report apparent CSAE to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement as required by law, and we permanently ban offending accounts. To report suspected CSAE, email abuse@silkroom.io immediately.
Other prohibited content and conduct
You may not use the Service to create, request, or share content that:
- Depicts real, identifiable people sexually without their consent, including "deepfakes", or that impersonates a real person;
- depicts non-consensual sexual activity, sexual violence, or incest presented as real;
- depicts or promotes bestiality, necrophilia, or other content illegal in your or our jurisdiction;
- depicts realistic extreme violence, gore, or self-harm, or encourages suicide or self-harm;
- promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or hate against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristic;
- facilitates illegal activity, including the sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or stolen data;
- infringes others' intellectual-property or privacy rights (see our DMCA Policy);
- contains malware, attempts to breach security, scrape, or disrupt the Service, or circumvent usage limits or paywalls;
- harasses, threatens, or stalks any person.
You also may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its output except as expressly permitted.
Enforcement
Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination without refund, and, where appropriate, reporting to law enforcement. We may take action at our discretion to protect users and the platform.
Reporting
To report content or behavior that violates this Policy, email abuse@silkroom.io with as much detail as possible (links, usernames, screenshots). For copyright complaints, use our DMCA Policy. We review reports and act promptly.
